Also if it helps im the drummer and im 14, my one friend is the lead guitarist and he is almost 13, and my other friend is the bassist and he is 13. And we dont have a singer yet....soooooooooooo......thats it.

From experience, the singer is going to want to call the shots...It what singers do....I apologize to all singers in advance, but with good singers comes big egos. You need to lay the groundwork early and often. And when the singer steps over that line, not if, but when.... you need to keep him in line...There are so many twists and turns....and there is no 'recipe' or 'instruction' manual for building the perfect beast....

Above all have fun, 14 is young, create some memories that will last your entire life

Hey there fellow rocker. Well you are halfway there. The most important thing about being in any band is to listen to each other. Not only when talking, but when you are playing too. It's the key to being "tight" and successful.

Are you going to write you own songs or do covers?

If you are writing your own stuff, then you should each spend time playing alone working on any little hooks or riffs you might come up with. And then have fun trying them out and jamming around them. Jamming is key to getting to know how each of you play.

If you are doing covers, then I would start with doing the basics. Get the chorus down first, and then work on the verse... then the bridge... then intro's and outro's. Always build slowly when you just starting.

Most importantly... have fun! Playing music is a gift that we should cherrish. Rock out!

Feel free to mail me anything if you want help.

Being in a Rock band means getting along, creating good music. Normally, the band leader (If the band already has a logo) is bound to have the most rights to the bands logo. For instance, the Rolling Stones: since Mick and Keith are the leaders of the band, they would most likely have more rights to the Rolling Stones tongue. Also, do not become Axl Rose.

Its about the band not one person. Everybodys input matters. There is NO BAD IDEA. Get along, stay out of drugs and alcohol, these are your two worst enemies. Practice and have fun. If you are not having fun, its not for you.
