Do you think MGMT's Congratulations is the best album of 2010 so far?

It's an amazing album! They have a song dedicated to Brian Eno on it. That sealed the deal for me.

I definitely agree and my favorite song on the album is Brian Eno. A lot of people are mad because there "aren't any songs like Kids!"....that was intended. MGMT does not want to be mainstream and they created an album full of new, interesting songs for the fans that love the uniqueness of their other songs.



I'm in love with Congratulations and very glad I got it. The guys did an amazing job and I wish more people could see how hard they worked to put out such a good album.

I think I only heard one album so far from 2010, The Never Ending Way of ORwarriOR by Orphaned Land. It's not bad. BQ: Maybe 'The Path Part 1 & 2' from same album.

Gah, I keep putting off listening to 'Congratulations' because I didn't like 'Oracular Spectacular' half as much as I thought I would. From what I hear, it's either a masterpiece or a piece of sh*t lol, there doesn't seem to be much middle ground opinion-wise. And since I didn't like the last album, I figured I wouldn't care for the new one....but I'll get around to listening to it eventually! So far, my favorite album of 2010 is Evelyn Evelyn's s/t debut.

It would definately be close, A great album.

Personally I would say that Pop Crimes by Rowland S. Howard and Lungs by Florence and the Machine are my 2 picks for 2010 but then again, maybe they come out in 09...?

Second best... I still prefer Contra by Vampire Weekend. Brian Eno was a great song though, wasn't it?

I agree! I bought it, and I've been listening to it like crazy.

I think MGMT just keeps getting better and better.

I know it took me a little while to get into them, but it was worth it :-)

i totally disagree, i think the album was a total disappointment. :(

and the song about brian eno was wierd. not a fan, i like their old stuff better.
