Question:
Is "Friday" by Rebecca Black REALLY the worst song ever made?

I know how there have been so many haters on this song and how there have been so many dislikes on YouTube. But to be honest, I don't think the song's as bad as people made it out to be.

Well, to be frank, I think it's one of the best but unfortunately one of the most underrated songs ever made in the history of the music (even if it went viral on YouTube). Rebecca really shows her versatility within her vocal capabilities in this song (I mean singing in high notes, who would expect that?!) and the song has a theme that can relate and connect well to her audience: PARTYING! I mean, who would not like to party once in a while?

And Gawd, even Gangnam Style and What The Fox Say are FAR FAR worse than this brilliant masterpiece. I mean, they're just songs that don't tell a story or a certain theme (except for the fact that they're novelty).... At least "Friday" has meaningful lyrics that can relate to everyday life. So, what is Gangnam Style about? A girl who just goes into a shop and asks for a cup of coffee? Or What The Fox Say which is a song about the noises animals make? No thank you. Lol. :D

So, what I'm trying to say is, I think this song deserves a bit more appreciation than what it has been given and does NOT deserve all this hate. Who's with me on this one? :)

Hi Mr. Pigglywinks!

I rather listen to Friday by Rebecca Black than Finally Getting Off Rock Bottom by Farrah Abraham. This song is the worst I ever heard in my life, and to me, I could listen all day to Friday than the musical insult that they permitted Farrah Abraham to do. It seems like anyone could have a record deal just like that nowadays.

THANK YOU MR. PIGGLYWINKS!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

Actually, I sort of like "Gangnam Style."

But I'll defend "Friday" any day of the week: it's cunningly designed to hold our attention -- same chords as, for instance, "Heart and Soul" -- and it's already made its mark on cultural history. (Even people who say they hate it know all the words.) Besides, it continues to make money for RB -- it's not a big seller at iTunes anymore, but she gets a cut of the YouTube advertising take, and even singles that don't chart, like "In Your Words," manage millions of YouTube views, keeping her in the upper brackets. It helps that her fanbase is growing and dedicated: she has over 700,000 subscribers on YT and over a million Twitter followers.

I assume you've heard "Saturday" by now.

It's one of the worst, but there's a few songs that are worse.

Examples:

My Jeans: Jenna Rose

Hot Problems: Double Take

Mass Text: Tay Allyn

I think it's safe to say there are worse songs.

There's far worse songs that just don't get popular

It was written by a teenager for teenagers, I really don't think it's that bad. The worst songs are those abominations written by supposedly 'professional' musicians which then receive critical acclaim from 'music' journalists. IMHO the award for the worst song ever would go to Coldplay for 'Viva La Vida'. It's both ridiculous musically and lyrically and all involved should go away and think about their lives. Awful.
