PDP as good as DW drums?

Question

I know they are basically made by the same company, but do they sound as good. I am going for a new drum set, been playing Pearl since I began playing drums. I recently played a DW set at a shop when I was visiting a friend up state and they sounded amazing. Only one problem cant afford them, so I saw PDP are made by DW, but do they sound as good?

PDP is their cheaper import line, just like Squire is to Fender guitars. No they will not sound nearly as good as a DW set, but I think they would sound as good as anything else in that price range.

wood types, lug spacing, and quality is better on dw... I myself have a PDP cx series but its pretty close to a DW without the outrageous price
