thrash metal band recommendation, for production quality snob?

my friend recommend i listen to slayer and metallica, but its hard for me to understand the lyrics without having to look them up, its probably because the quality of production or they care about the music more than the vocals, anyway are their any thrash bands where the lyrics are easy to decipher

Slayer and Metallica own some of the best produced material in the business. I can think of hardly any bands produced with better quality.
