Green Day Vs Oasis, does it sound similar?

Idk why, but they sound a little similar.

No, not really. And I like Green Day more than Oasis in general, but that song is terrible. 21 Guns is easily the worst Green Day song. Dookie-era rocks!

They only sound similar because of the presence of an acoustic guitar in and soaring vocals. Green Day's has more contrasting sections in it. Oasis is the same throughout.

green day were definately better in the early days from albums like dookie and insomniac! this song sounds nothing like oasis' wonderwall...the guitars completely different...the melody is completely different...the only thing it has in common is the tempo really, both slow songs.....if anything their other recent-ish single boulevard of broken dreams sound more like wonderwall

Not in the slightest and there is also the fact that the Green Day song is good and the Oasis one is cr*p. Added to that Green Day aren't a fifth rate Beatle's tribute band.

Oasis are immense where as green day are "American Idiots" who suck!!!!!



Also the Billy joe guy is not comparable to the Gallaghers in any way as he is a gothic wierdo who needs a haircut.
