I'm not being funny or anything, but the lyrics to this are pretty straightforward. The meaning is obvious, surely? NONE of the other answers are true. In the 50's, the phrase "rock and roll" was slang term for having sex. In other songs, such as Eddie Cochran's "Twenty Flight Rock" (if you read the lyrics or listen to it) he says at the end of the verses: "I'm too tired to rock"...
