Thoughts on messages in songs played backwards?

I think it's ridiculous. Did they really sit there and come up with sentences that could sound like something played backwards when they could be out there getting high or having sex or whatever musicians do with their spare time? If you listen to this stuff without knowing what it's supposed to be, it sounds like gfdyefvshukbchjk. I once saw a video where someone took the song All By Myself and put the words "I don't want to be Obama's Elf anymore" on the screen instead of "I don't want to be all by myself anymore", and what did it sound like? It's all mind tricks. And this is coming from a conspiracy theorist.
