how do you tune your guitar to DADGAD Without a tuner?

Question

okay so i want to learn how to play the song dear maria count me in by all time low and the tuning is DADGAD i know how to tune the 6th-4th strings by ear but i cant figure out the tunings for the 2nd and 1st string the tuning for the 2nd string is A and the Tuning for the 1st string is D
can anyone show me how to tune it like you tune the 6th string to drop d??

Answer 1

Go up or down until the 7th fret on the 6th string is the same note as the 2nd string.

Then the same thing with:

5th fret on 5th string and open 4th string

5th fret on 4th string and open 3rd string

2nd fret on 3rd string and open 2nd string

5th fret on 2nd string and open 1st string
